An estuary is the area where a body of water like a stream or lake meets the ocean. An estuary can be located anywhere around the coast of a country and has a very diverse habitat. Estuaries merge with the ocean, this is why in certain areas of the water, it can be seen as two different shades of blue. This is an estuary.
