Dragonfly: Functioal Adaptations

Dragonflies are unique, they have big eyes, spikey legs. bullet shapped bodies and powerful wings. However thoes are just physical adaptations, the way the dragonfly functions is a different adaptation all together. For example, when a dragonfly is in danger of predation, they begin to flap their wings faster. This is an example of functioal adaptations, as it is classed as an automatic function, the dragonfly is only thinking about getting away. Additionally, when the dragonfly lands on the top of water, the organism tests the water without thinking about it. The dragonfly has evolved to taste the water for high salt levels and pollution without thinking about it.

The picture shows an example of a dragonfly using its wings to fly.
